# Ce sunt browserele „high security”?

În trecut, „browsere high security” erau numite cele care recunoșteau certificatele cu validare extinsă (EV) și afișau bara verde cu numele companiei.

Astăzi, **toate browserele moderne** (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari) recunosc certificatele EV. Însă, începând cu 2019, browserele au **renunțat la afișarea distinctă a barei verzi** — orice site securizat este marcat uniform cu un lacăt. Nivelul de securitate al conexiunii depinde de certificat și de configurația serverului, nu de browser.
