# Cum adaug categorii de produse în WP eCommerce?

> **Avertisment de securitate:** WP eCommerce nu mai este dezvoltat și **nu mai primește actualizări de securitate**, ceea ce lasă site-ul expus la vulnerabilități cunoscute. Nu recomandăm instalarea pe site-uri noi. Dacă folosești deja această aplicație, planifică migrarea către **WooCommerce** (succesorul recomandat, actualizat activ).

Categoriile ușurează navigarea clienților și țin produsele organizate. Pentru a adăuga o categorie:

1. Autentifică-te în panoul de administrare **WordPress**.
2. Accesează **Products → Categories**.
3. Apasă **Add New**.
4. Setează numele, **Slug**-ul, categoria părinte și o descriere scurtă.
5. Aplică eventualele restricții și apasă **Add New Product Category**.
