# Ce este Magento?

**Magento** este o platformă open source pentru magazine online, care oferă control complet asupra setărilor site-ului, extensiilor, aspectului și funcționalităților.

**Beneficii:** administrare SEO, coș de cumpărături personalizabil, sistem flexibil de cupoane și prețuri, rapoarte și analize, gestionarea catalogului de produse, urmărirea comenzilor, căutare și zoom pe imagini, suport pentru mai multe limbi și valute, design responsive.

**Optimizări (caching):** Magento poate folosi sisteme de cache precum **Redis**, **Varnish** sau, pe serverele LiteSpeed HostX, **LiteMage**, pentru performanțe superioare.

**Ediții:**

- **Magento Open Source** (fostul „Community Edition”) — gratuit.
- **Adobe Commerce** (fostul „Enterprise Edition”) — versiunea comercială, cu funcții avansate și suport.

Notă: Magento 1 a ajuns la sfârșitul suportului (iunie 2020). Versiunea actuală este Magento 2.
